Frequently asked questions

Short answers, straight to the point.

The service and its cost

Today, there is none. The software was written to manage its author's buildings, it works, and opening it to others costs almost nothing more. There is no "pro" version, no locked feature, no trial that runs out. If you want to help pay for hosting, the "Contribute" page is there — and nothing changes if you give nothing.

At least three years from the day you sign up. Not three years from a date shared by everyone: each account has its own end date, the day it was created. During those three years, whatever happens to pricing, nothing is charged to you. This is in section 5 of the terms of use (in French).

Not before three years for you, since your sign-up guarantees that period. Beyond that, it is possible, and I would rather say so plainly than promise forever. An online service costs something, and I do not know what the following years will bring. If fees were ever introduced, you would be told in advance, nothing would be charged without your consent, and you could decline and take your data with you. This is in section 5 of the terms.

Your data belongs to you and stays exportable. You would never be charged without explicitly agreeing. That is also why it is best to keep your own copies of your important documents, starting now.

As many as you want. That said, the software is built for a landlord who manages their own buildings, say 1 to 50 units. Beyond that, it will do the job but was not designed for that scale.

Your data

Each company is walled off: no one sees another company's data. Backups are made. But the service is provided with no warranty, and no recovery is promised: keep your own backups of what really matters.

A recovery attempt will be made if possible, but nothing is guaranteed and no liability is accepted. It is written in black and white in the terms, and it is not boilerplate: keep your signed leases, receipts and supporting documents elsewhere.

Yes. The data is yours. Reports and documents can be exported from the software.

No. It is not sold, rented or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

Leases

Those of New Brunswick and Quebec. In N.B., the official form is filled in automatically, in English or French, with your building rules attached as schedules.

The software fills in the official form with the information you enter. The validity of what you sign remains your responsibility: check the document before using it, and consult a professional if in doubt.

Yes. Upload them as PDFs or write them in the software, and set criteria — by building, by language, by lease content — that decide when they are added. The exact document attached to each lease is archived.

Day to day

No. It records the payments you received and shows you who is late. It never touches your money.

No. Each one receives a unique link that gives access to their lease, payments and documents. No passwords to create or manage.

Yes, module by module, read-only or with editing rights. You decide exactly what each person can reach.

Each company has its own data, completely separate, and you switch from one to the other from the top menu.
