Privacy policy

How Gère ton bloc collects, uses and protects personal information. Version of October 4, 2026.

In short

We collect the minimum needed to run the software. We do not sell, rent or share your information for commercial purposes. No advertising, no profiling.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information

Maxime Tremblay is in charge of the protection of personal information. For a question, a request or a complaint: info@geretonbloc.com.

Two kinds of information

  • Yours, as an account holder: Gère ton bloc is responsible for it.
  • What you enter about your tenants, employees or suppliers: you are responsible for it. Gère ton bloc hosts and processes it on your behalf, only to run the software, and uses it for no other purpose.

What we collect

  • When you sign up: your username, your email address, your password (kept only in hashed form, never readable), your company's name and type, your province, and the date and IP address of your acceptance of the terms. If you arrived through one of our posts, its origin (the platform, the campaign and the post, with no identifier of your device) is kept with your account, to learn which posts work; we only share totals.
  • When you use the software: what you enter in it (buildings, leases, payments, expenses, documents) and a log of important actions, to know who did what.
  • For security: the server's technical logs and, if you turn on two-factor authentication, its secret, encrypted.

Why

  • Provide the software and its features.
  • Protect accounts and detect abuse.
  • Send you service emails (confirmation, security, notices).
  • Answer your questions and requests.

Cookies

Only cookies needed to operate: the session, protection against request forgery and, if you choose them, “remember me” and the two-factor trusted device. No advertising or audience-measurement cookies.

How it is protected

Encrypted connection (HTTPS); sensitive information encrypted in the database (social insurance numbers, account numbers, access secrets); private documents encrypted and stored outside the public part of the server; complete separation between companies; employee access limited by permissions; two-factor authentication available.

Who else has access

Only the providers that make the service possible, each limited to that role: the server's host; the email delivery service; Google, when you use assisted address entry; QuickBooks (Intuit), only if you connect your company to it. Some of these providers may process information outside Quebec.

How long

As long as your account exists. Backups keep a copy for a limited time. When your account is closed, on request, your information is destroyed or anonymized, except what the law requires us to keep.

Your rights

You may ask to access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, receive it in a common format (reports and documents can also be exported from the software), or have your account closed. Write to the person in charge above: we answer within 30 days.

If our answer does not satisfy you: in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca); in New Brunswick, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).

If an incident occurs

If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, the people concerned and the authorities are notified, as the law requires.

Changes

Any change to this policy is published on this page, with its new version date.
